The Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce held its 14th Annual General Meeting

The Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce held its 14th Annual General Meeting on November 1, 2017 at the Russian Cultural Centre Colombo. H. E. Yuri Materiy, Ambassador of Russia in Sri Lanka, was the chief guest and Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, H. E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, attended to the event as the Guest of honor. Welcoming members and guests to the event, President SLRBC, Mr. Isuru Samarasinghe declares the annual report & accounts and presented a copy of the Annual report & audited accounts to the Both Ambassadors.

Delivering the Guest of Honor speech, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia H. E. Dr. Saman Weerasinghe pointed out the support and assistance that Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council has extended to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia last two years. Also he declares the key events which has happened With the support of the Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council, such as the official visit of the President of Sri Lanka His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena to the Russian Federation in March, first ever Sri Lanka-Russia Business Forum organized by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Russia, furthermore Ambassador H.E Dr Saman Weerasinghe has highlighted very important thing that happened in last year during his speech, issuance of one year multiple entry visas to the members of the Sri Lanka-Russia Business Council with the support of the Embassy of Sri Lanka.

Madam Anastasia Khokhlova - Director of the Russian Cultural Centre in Colombo ,members of SLRBC, Representatives from the Embassy of Russia and Representative of the cultural Centre, Representative of Chamber of Commerce and Directors and representatives from leading Sri Lankan companies were also gathered in the event.
