On April 19th, 2018 - Dr. Saman Weerasinghe, Chairman of Dr. Saman Weerasinghe foundation laid the foundation stone for the construction of a fully-fledged International Meditation Centre under the patronage of Ven. Bohettiye Ananda Thero. The meditation Centre will be named as Dr. Priyadarshani Weerasinghe International Meditation Centre in memory of late Dr. Priyadarshani Weerasinghe and will be established in the premises of Sri Jayasumanarama Purana Viharaya, Bulugahagoda, Ganemulla. 20 Million rupees will be allocated to develop this project and it will be one of the imperative meditation centers in Sri Lanka for visiting Western Buddhist lay practitioners and lay devotees.
