Visit to sacred city of Katharagama

Dr. Saman Weerasinghe visited Kataragama Wedihiti Kanda temple and paid homage to the Sacred Shiva Devalaya and Katharagama Devalaya while inspecting the repair of the roof which was funded by Dr. Saman Weerasinghe Foundation. Subsequently, Dr. Saman Weerasighe called on the Chief Incumbent of the Wedihiti Kanda temple and obtained his blessings. Thereafter, Dr Saman Weerasinghe received the blessing of Kirivehera Rajamaha Viharadhipathi Ruhunu Magampattuwe Chief Sangha Nayaka Kobawaka Damminda Thera and worshipped the Kiriwehera Chaithtaya. Later that day visited Kataragama Maha Devalaya and engaged in religious rituals.
