Dr. Saman Weerasinghe visits Kataragama Maha Devalaya

Chairman of the Dr. Saman Weerasinghe Foundation visited the Kataragama and participated in many special religious observances and annual Kataragama Perahara festival. He paid obeisance to the Ganadevi Kovil at Sella Kataragama, Kataragama Maha Devala and visited Wedihiri Kanda too. Later Dr. Saman Weerasinghe participated in religious observances at the Katharagama Kiri Vehera Rajamaha Viharaya and called on the Chief Incumbent of the Kiri Vehera Kirivehera, Most Ven. Kobawaka Dhamminda Thero and offered Pirikara to the Thero. Also at his visit to Katharagama, Dr Saman distributed dry rations among 250 needy families in the area.
